Pittsburg’s Farmers Market Returns: 8/1 Arrival
Pittsburg City Council votes to bring back the Farmers Market, via pilot program, starting August 1st
After a nearly 10-year absence, fresh produce is coming back to Pittsburg! The City Council voted 4-0 Monday night to approve a 6-month pilot farmers market at the City Hall Lawn on Civic Avenue. The market, run by Your Community Farmers Advocate, opens August 1st and will run every Wednesday from 9 AM — 1:30 PM, with 30 to 40 vendors expected to show up with local produce and more.

El Campanil Theatre Is Bringing Tribute Hits to Downtown Antioch
Concerts will be held in August and October at El Campanil Theatre in Downtown Antioch
If you haven't been to a show at El Campanil Theatre lately, here's your reason to go. The historic theatre in Downtown Antioch just announced two upcoming tribute concerts: Maroon Vibes (the #1 Maroon 5 tribute) hits the stage on Saturday, August 15th, and FOREJOUR: A Tribute to Foreigner & Journey, returns by popular demand on October 17th. Both shows start at 7 PM.

Antioch Water Park to offer swim lessons exclusively starting July 20th
Starting July 20th, the Antioch Water Park will transition to offering swim lessons exclusively, ending general recreational swimming. The facility will focus entirely on water safety and education rather than open play. Further details on scheduling and registration are expected soon.

Local drivers shine at Antioch Speedway as Baca, Archibald, Wagner, and Carlson take wins
The Antioch Speedway saw a night full of wins for local racers
Antioch Speedway saw four different winners across its divisions on Saturday night. Grayson Baca won his second straight Hobby Stock main event, Jake Archibald earned his first career IMCA Stock Car victory, Danny Wagner rallied from an early spin to win the IMCA Sport Modifieds, and Ty Carlson took the 600 Micro Sprint race. The BCRA Lightning Sprints canceled their appearance due to low car count concerns.
