Local Racers Chase Glory at Antioch's Dean Cline Classic

On August 8, Antioch Speedway will host 5th annual Dean Cline Classic

Antioch Speedway will host the fifth annual Dean Cline Classic this Saturday, a tribute to a legendary racer who valued camaraderie over championships. The event features a $1,000-to-win Hobby Stock main event and a new weekend series with Watsonville Speedway. Several local drivers are in tight points battles, making for an exciting night of racing.

Max Korten has been named General Manager of the East Bay Regional Park District, bringing his extensive experience in park management and environmental policy to the role. His appointment signals a continued focus on conservation, public access, and sustainable growth for the district's vast network of parks and trails.

Concord and Walnut Creek hospitals have been named Best Regional Hospitals by U.S. News & World Report for 2026-27

John Muir Health's Concord and Walnut Creek Medical Centers were named Best Regional Hospitals by U.S. News & World Report for 2026-27, a distinction earned by only 11% of hospitals nationwide. The Concord campus also received a national top 50 ranking in Cardiology, Heart and Vascular Surgery, while both facilities earned multiple high performing ratings across various procedures and specialties.
