In community centers, libraries, and schools across the Bay Area, something transformative is happening. Young people who arrive quiet and guarded are finding their voices, not through traditional therapy or counseling, but through the universal language of music. At the heart of this change is Stu 212 Music Therapy Coping and Creativity, a nonprofit founded by Jeremy Phillips that uses music as a powerful coping mechanism to help youth navigate their everyday challenges.

From North Beach to Brentwood: A Pizza Journey Finds a New Home at Streets
October 2026 will see Slice House by Tony Gemignani open at The Streets of Brentwood. Locals Nitin and Mansi Bhatia will operate the new restaurant.
Slice House by Tony Gemignani, a celebrated pizza franchise, will open its newest location in Brentwood in October 2026. The restaurant, located at The Streets of Brentwood, will bring about 30 jobs and a diverse menu of artisan pizzas to the East Bay community. It will be operated by local couple Nitin and Mansi Bhatia.

Hall of Fame Night Shines as Drivers Honor Legends and Chase Glory at Antioch Speedway
The Eighth Annual Hall of Fame Night was held at Antioch Speedway on Saturday night. Hunter Hammett of Oakley, pictured above, on the Pacific Coast Hobby Stock Main Event.
Antioch Speedway celebrated its Eighth Annual Hall of Fame Night with five feature races, honoring eight new inductees during intermission. Hunter Hammett, Anthony Slaney, Troy Foulger, and Bo Crebs all claimed victories in their respective divisions, with Foulger adding his 92nd career win at the track. The evening also saw Andrew Pearce clinch the IMCA Modified track championship with a second-place finish.
