$5 Million Boost: Three Wildfire Projects Funded in Contra Costa County
The state of California has provided $5 million in funding to Assembly District 16 for wildfire prevention. This will impact Contra Costa County as well as the City of Orinda and San Ramon Valley Fire.
Assembly District 16 has secured $5 million in state funding for wildfire prevention and evacuation projects across Contra Costa County. The money will go to San Ramon Valley Fire, the City of Orinda, and Contra Costa County for brush clearing, risk reduction, and evacuation planning in one of California's most fire-prone regions. Assemblymember Rebecca Bauer-Kahan says she will keep fighting for more resources ahead of fire season.

Sanders Dominates Antioch Speedway for Seventh Season Victory
Justin Sanders won his seventh feature this season at Antioch Speedway.
Justin Sanders won his seventh NARC Winged 410 Sprint Car feature of the season at Antioch Speedway, while Aniyah Scott swept the 600 Micro Sprint events and Brandon Aylesworth took the Dwarf Car main. The races set up a tight points battle in the Micro Sprint division and a busy upcoming schedule.
