Staff will be available to handle all the necessary paperwork and ceremonies on site.

An Antioch resident is urging the City Council to delay a vote on the HomeKey+ Mahogany Housing Project until key financial reviews, appraisals, and safety inspections are completed. The plan would convert a former Comfort Inn into 84 apartments for homeless individuals, but the critic says the deal has too many unanswered questions about long-term costs, liability, and oversight. The council is set to vote on July 28.

Contra Costa County Teamsters vote to authorize strike as contract talks continue
Over 2,000 Teamsters in Contra Costa County have voted to strike if a new contract cannot be reached.
Over 2,000 Contra Costa County Teamsters have voted by more than 90% to authorize a strike if a new contract isn't reached. The workers, who provide critical public services, say the county's compensation lags behind neighboring areas. Negotiations resume July 28 as both sides try to avert a countywide work stoppage.
