4EVER ME FOUNDATION hosts their School Supply giveaway in Antioch on 8/1
Antioch's annual Stuff the Bus school supply drive returns on August 1st, asking residents to donate backpacks, notebooks, and other classroom essentials for local students. The event aims to fill a school bus with supplies to ease financial burdens on families and help kids start the academic year prepared. Organizers will announce specific drop-off locations and needs as the date approaches.

Oakley Driver Tuttle Takes First Win of Season, Helps Kids Head Back to School
In his first Hunt Series race of the season, Jacob Tuttle of Oakley wins. The Saturday night race also gave away backpacks and school supplies to kids
Jacob Tuttle of Oakley won his first Hunt Series race of the season at Antioch Speedway on Saturday night, leading all but the opening lap of the 25 lap Wingless Spec Sprint Main Event. The event also featured the annual Back To School Backpack Night, where racers handed out backpacks and school supplies to young fans. Other winners included Aidan Ponciano in the Hobby Stocks, Danny Wagner in the Dwarf Cars, and Joel Hannagan in the Hardtops.

From Planning Grant to Grand Opening: Pittsburg's Waterfront Park Transformation
The City of Pittsburg invites everyone to visit and enjoy the newly-reopened Central Harbor Park
Pittsburg celebrated the grand reopening of Central Harbor Park and its boat launch facility, completing a community-driven project that began in 2021. The $3.54 million renovation, funded by a Climate, Access, and Resource Program grant, added accessible pathways, new seating, upgraded fishing amenities, and a public safety substation. City officials thanked the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta Conservancy for their partnership in creating the enhanced waterfront destination.
