SPOTLIGHT FEATURED BUSINESS: A1 Barbershop

A1 Barbershop: Our Featured Business

A1 Barbershop: Where Haircuts Meet Heart in Pittsburg

Step into A1 Barbershop on Railroad Avenue in Pittsburg, and you might feel like you've just walked into a family living room where all the aunties, uncles, and big cousins are gathered, having a good time. Except here, you're also getting an excellent haircut.

That welcoming atmosphere is no accident. For Joanna Hernandez and her family, A1 Barbershop is more than a place for tapers, comb-overs, cornrow braids, and clean cuts. It's a community hub built on the belief that looking good helps people do good and feel good.

Antioch's Jacobsen Park Gets a Fresh Start: Community Celebration Planned

A ribbon cutting ceremony will be held 8/21 to celebrate the renovations at Jacobsen Park in Antioch

Antioch will host a ribbon cutting ceremony on August 21 to mark the completion of renovations at Jacobsen Park and its official reopening. The event is open to the public and highlights the city's ongoing investment in local parks and recreation facilities.

A Night of High Stakes and Homecoming Heroes at Antioch Speedway

This Saturday night will see a series of races at Antioch Speedway, and drivers are looking to win

Antioch Speedway hosts a six division race card Saturday night, featuring the BCRA/WMR Midgets for their final appearance of the season. Championship battles are heating up in the Hobby Stock and Sport Modified classes, with tight point races and several drivers looking to make up ground. Logan Mitchell comes off a career defining win at the Tom Manning Memorial, while Hunter Hammett and Fred Ryland lead their respective divisions.
